Senior Frontend Developer

Due to company growth. we have an opening within our development team. Below are details of the job role. You'll be joining a great team, where you can expect to work together with others to overcome challenges and learn new techniques. You are however, expected to be able to hit the ground running to a certain degree and will be responsible for your own output and code quality of the sites you build.

Bespoke Builds

We are looking for someone that is able to take design files from a designer and reproduce them to the pixel, in clean and logical HTML, CSS and Javascript. You will have a passion for building the sites that look fantastic, and work well across all screen sizes, with the most efficient code. Always looking to improve methods used for frontend output.

Perform maintenance and debugging on existing sites

You will be able to understand tasks based on a written brief, and to look at a site built by another developer and figure out why an error is occurring, how to correct it, and how to make desired design or functional changes. Experience with a particular CMS or system is less important than someone with a general ability to investigate and problem-solve across a variety of systems

Teamwork

- Ability to work in a team of developers and perform development tasks in accordance with team practices.

- Able to work in teams, including project managers and designers, communicate technical challenges to non-developers.

- Ability to work to deadlines.

Bonus points for experience with any of the following:

Whilst having some experience or knowledge of the following technologies would be beneficial, our focus is finding someone with the right mindset, attention to detail and an appreciation of the need to build sites in a clean and lightweight manner.

- Processwire

- Laravel

- Shopware

- Wordpress

- Version control with git

- Sass or another CSS pre-processor

- Working with RESTful APIs

- Use of package managers and workflow tools like NPM, Composer, Gulp

Work Environment

We are a mixed team of hybrid and fully remote employees and will consider applicants outside of the UK providing you can demonstrate an adequate level of ability in both verbal and written English. We are not offering relocation or sponsorship for those wishing to come to the UK.
