Support and shape the delivery of major business transformation initiatives

The challenge

The Home Office is here to make our country safer. As well as working to reduce crime and enforce the law, we also work to protect the most vulnerable and have a proud history of providing refuge to those who have been displaced or are seeking asylum. Whether it's fighting crime, protecting our borders or combating slavery, the Home Office is at the cutting edge of public policy in this country and our work is some of the most challenging and rewarding in government.

As a Business Architect in our Visas & Immigration team, you'll be central to the success of a range of complex, large-scale initiatives, translating business strategies into interim and target state business architecture. This is work that affects the nation - and you'll be at its heart.

The role

You will interpret, translate, assess and feed back on strategic initiatives from a cross-cutting business architecture perspective. Your input will ensure strategic requirements are reflected in business designs and that we deliver optimal strategic business outcomes. Expect to work closely with business analysts and technical leads throughout the change lifecycle, using business architecture to inform, shape and define strategic business design. We'll also look to you to facilitate collaboration and act as a critical friend to stakeholders to keep design, build and delivery in line with user needs. You will also help to develop best practice and build communities of practice.

About you

You'll bring extensive experience in business design and the delivery of complex, large-scale business transformation initiatives. You'll possess strong enterprise and business architecture skills, as well as business modelling and consultancy skills. You're someone who is capable of seeing the big picture and delivering at pace. A structured approach to problem-solving and systematic ways of addressing opportunities and challenges are essential. A Certified Business Architect (CBA) qualification would be a bonus.

Benefits

In return for your expertise, we offer a range of benefits including a Civil Service pension, an environment with flexible working options, and continuing learning and development tailored to your role - all within a culture encouraging inclusion and diversity.
