Materials Planner and Scheduler

Our succesful and established engineering client are looking fot a Materials Planner and Scheduler to join their team. Monday to Friday. The Role: This is a varied role, and you will be involved with the planning, purchasing and scheduling functions of the company.  Your primary accountability is to ensure that all external and internal customers receive the materials required to meet their delivery schedule.  You will have the professionalism and commitment in getting these results by being focused on achieving business goals through the monitoring and maintenance of all performance indicators. Planning
Plan all internal works orders which require manual entry / progress Plan all external purchase orders to suit required timelines Manage bottles necks with the planning functions Responsible for creating Bill of Materials and organising purchases / stock requests as required by engineering departments Purchasing
Co-ordinate procurement activities of a range of material / parts Work with suppliers to expedite / defer materials as dictated by changes in the internal and external customer requirements Work independently with suppliers to monitor and maintain open purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries, handling all shipment tracking information Maintain accurate purchase order information with the system Accountable for good relationships with suppliers
  Other Key Responsibilities
Organises paperwork, including purchase orders, and maintain records Collate information prepare and present status reports and provide output information (Key Performance Indicators) Proactively troubleshoot problems Facilitate problem resolutions with Accounts Payable related to purchase orders Appreciation and understanding of Aerospace traceability requirements Ensuring all materials / supplied products meet the specifications Develop and implement continuous improvements for supply chain activities.
