SQL Server Database Administrator - Are you a talented SQL Database Administrator who is looking to take the next steps in advancing your career? Due to increased investment and growth of the business, my client who are a data focused consultancy, are looking to expand the team and have a new SQL DBA join them. Due to their outstanding reputation, the training/certifications they offer for all employees and the quality of service they provide, my client has managed to achieve Microsoft Gold Partner status. This is a great opportunity to use your DBA skills to join a company where you will have exposure to a multitude of technologies & platforms, but also somewhere you can quickly advance your skill-set through the training and paid certifications they can provide you with and be part of a highly collaborative team.This role will involve on-call work 1 in 5 weeks - with an additional £8,000 on-call allowance on top of base salary. Role -This is a varied role where no 2 days will be the same! Some responsibilities will include: Project based workOperations and TroubleshootingSystem ArchitectureDesign and ImplementationPerformance Management Skill-set - I'm looking for someone who has strong experience in previous SQL DBA roles and a mixture of the below skills. Not all of these will be essential to the role: Database & Application performance tuningUnderstanding and application of database design techniquesT-SQL programming skillsSSRS and SSAS - installation, configuration, and administrationHigh Availability & Always On Azure knowledge/exposure/certifications (desirable)Previous consulting experience (desirable) Location -My client has offices based in Leeds, Nottingham and London. They operate with a flexible working pattern (so have core hours with flexibility around what time you start/finish) and are flexible on locations. Ideally, we're looking for candidates who can travel once a month to either the Leeds, London or Nottingham office. If you prefer to be in the office more often, they are able to accommodate that too.
