We are looking for a Head of Electronics to lead and grow our electronics/hardware development team and deliver solutions against our exciting product pipeline. The electronics inside our fuel cell products enable us to optimally control the operation of the fuel cell and also convert the raw power into a desired condition. The right person will have the balance of technical authority and managing/growing our electronics capability through people and processes.

Principal Accountabilities

Be the technical authority for the development of all electronics at Bramble Energy. Strong experience in developing electronics hardware including digital, control, analogue, and power electronics.

Lead a team of Electronics Engineers and grow the internal capability of the team. Efficiently manage team workload through Agile/Scrum/Waterfall practices. Be a hands-on leader.

Oversee the development throughout the entire lifecycle from initial requirements through to validation testing. Champion production of prototypes using contract manufacturers. Facilitate the handover of supply logistics and end-of-line testing with the production team.

Establish right-sized processes and ways of working to efficiently develop electronics that will allow us to develop solutions first time. Measure capability through KPIs. Ensure development is compliant with relevant standards, such as, EMC, functional safety, etc.

Liaise with all the product development teams to ensure the holistic development of products with the required functionality and quality. Work with Product Management to ensure engineering deliverables are made on time and to budget.

Ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders and work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications & Experience

A first-class degree or upper 2nd in a related engineering subject or equivalent experience. 10+ years' experience of developing electronics.

Experience in leading teams. Agile/Lean or hybrid Waterfall methodologies & practices are desirable.

Strong experience in digital, control, analogue, filter, etc. design. Experience in power electronics design would be highly desirable.

Experience in taking electronics designs into production with "Design for X"

Experience in energy systems, batteries, fuel cells etc. would be advantageous.
