We are looking for a web developer to join our team. This is a hybrid role - you would work from our office at least three days a week - we are in Coggeshall, which is between Braintree and Colchester.

- Hours: 40 hours (but open to part-time)

- Salary: circa £25-45k full-time, depending on experience (we are open to junior as well as more experienced developers)

- Bonus: annually reviewed and offered on a discretionary basis

- Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays - if part-time, would be offered on a pro-rata basis

Essential experience:

- Working with either WordPress (not off-the-shelf themes), Magento or Laravel

- MySQL and have a good understanding of Relational Database Systems

- Git source control

- Frontend frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind

- JavaScript (working with frameworks and/or vanilla)

Desirable experience

- Drupal

- Advanced Custom Fields for WordPress

- SEO

- Understanding of good UX/UI

- Understanding of accessibility requirements

- Project management

The role will see you play a key part in many client accounts. This will include handling the styling, usability, accessibility, development and maintenance of websites that we manage. You will have direct communication with clients and will be responsible for implementing digital strategies and solutions, addressing issues as they arise and pitching ideas to new leads.

We are a small and friendly team that all come from different backgrounds but get on in and out of work. We're different to other agencies in that we don't go big on the hierarchy. While everyone has a job title, we are all equal and everyone learns from each other. We also don't expect you to work outside of your hours - but if you do want to do overtime, you get paid for every minute of this time.
