You'll manage a team of digital analysts, tasked with turning UNiDAYS' click stream data into actionable insight, transforming and optimising our product experience, marketing performance and tooling capabilities. Responsible for a range of implementation, analysis and strategic projects, you'll partner closely with other leaders at UNiDAYS to ensure that tracking and measurement is at the heart of everything we do.  Alongside managing stakeholders, roadmaps and of course your own team, you'll also be tasked with the continued personal development of your growing team of digital and product analysts.  Working across the entire global UNiDAYS business, you'll directly and indirectly design and deliver strategic initiatives that look to further integrate Digital Analytics across the entire business.

Day to say responsibilities

Cover the Basics

  • Deliver analytical value via both your individual contributions and the delivery of your team, turning clickstream data into measurable, valuable insight and solutions
  • Be ultimately accountable for UNiDAYS' Digital Analytics tracking, tagging and reporting strategy
  • Effectively prioritise projects to ensure that both you and your team are spending their time on the most valuable work, aligned to business objectives and KPIs
  • Evaluate and measure your own performance, seeking feedback from all directions for your own continuous improvement
  • Own multivariate testing at UNiDAYS, working with key business stakeholders to ensure KPIs and their measurement are at the heart of all product design and enhancements
  • Raise the Digital Analytics profile across the business, incepting, designing and executing initiatives that drive enhancements in Digital Analytics use at UNiDAYS
  • Own the long term strategy of our marketing reporting and attribution capabilities
  • Learn new technical technical / softer skills, sharing insights & best practises with the wider data and insights org
  • Be an ambassador for Digital Analytics best practices - keep up to date with the latest developments in the industry and implement suitable changes, gaining buy in where appropriate
  • Design and own strategic frameworks that ensure optimal utilisation of our data and tools, across digital analytics, tag management and multivariate testing
  • Contribute to / lead efforts to help drive a culture of data and insight self-serve at UNiDAYS
  • Help the business grow its adoption of data and insight, by incepting, designing and implementing new KPIs, Metrics, Frameworks and capabilities that make it easier to get the job done, whatever the job!

Build and deliver agaisnt strategic roadmaps

  • Work with Analytics, Data & Insight leadership to help inform organisational strategy - helping ensure we are focused on the right business problems in order to best support delivery of the businesses 3 year plan
  • Contribute to the Digital Analytics roadmap, providing insight on deliveries, proposed work streams and commentary.  Present the team roadmap during stakeholder meetings
  • Work alongside the the wider insight analytics and data teams to define data requirements, ensuring our clickstream data is fit for purpose in driving business insight needs

Manage stakeholders whilst delivering the right stuff for the business 

  • Managing projects with complex requirements and multiple stakeholders, to a successful conclusion
  • Work with stakeholders at all levels to understand their business questions and identify how Digital Analytics can answer these questions
  • Make sure we are working on the right stuff, comfortably pushing back on stakeholders to ensure we continue to deliver the right stuff with the resources we have available
  • Work with leaders across the business to put digital analytics data and insight at the centre of our value proposition to UNiDAYS members, making sure our stakeholders are using data and insights in the right way, every day
  • Follow up with key stakeholders, building relationships and continually striving to ensure we are aligned with their future strategy

Lead by example:

  • Coach and professionally develop a team of digital and product analysts (currently 3)
  • Own the career development of your team, collaboratively building and measuring against their professional development plans
  • Ensuring we retain talent by helping the team grow professionally, and creating attractive opportunities that keep the team motivated and engaged
  • Encourage a culture of self serve within the team
  • Lead your team through the use of data visualisation tools and storytelling with data.  Make sure the context is always set, and people know why they're doing what they're doing.

What we need from you:

You? ?will? ?have? ??extensive experience? ?in a Digital Analytics role, with experience in a people leadership position. You'll need to have plenty of experience solving technical business problems with clickstream data and tooling, preferably? ?within?? the ?digital? ?retail space. You'll need to have demonstrable experience coaching and developing others in this space.

Individual contributions:

  • Delivered significant Digital Analytics projects, leveraging clickstream data and tooling to understand and solve complex product problems 
  • Previous ownership of Digital Analytics strategy; building, maintaining and executing associated Digital Analytics roadmaps 
  • Worked closely with organisational/company leadership to help inform and influence medium/long term Digital Analytics strategy
  • Using? ?clickstream data? ?and insights to? ?help? ?sculpt? ?value? ?propositions for customers and other stakeholders across a business
  • Hands on experience with multivariate testing, guiding test strategies across product and marketing organisations, product managing associated MVT tooling and it's associated strategy
  • Experience with Digital Analytics tools (preferably Google Analytics), tag management tools (preferably Google Tag Manager), and multivariate tooling solutions
  • Previous ownership of marketing attribution and associated reporting within an eCommerce environment
  • Experience partnering with product and marketing leadership, with demonstrable experience aligning strategically, optimising product and marketing processes
  • Experience working closely with/adhering to other team's roadmaps/timelines, ensuring your team are adequately prepared to add value in reasonable time frames
  • Used AB testing modelling and techniques to help determine the success of business changes
  • Had a seat at the table in defining Digital Analytics strategies - defining and implementing new KPIs, metrics, dimensions, dashboards and overall capabilities that keep Digital Analytics at the heart of a business
  • Demonstrated practical organisational changes which enhance a businesses ability to self-serve Digital Analytics data
  • Experience in measuring, interpreting, and making real-time decisions based on large volumes of data
  • Proven track record of delivering Digital Analytics projects/value, across all pillars of a business; comfortable being spread broadly across marketing, customer, commercial and other elements of an online retail business


  • Experience directly line managing a team and their day to day delivery; coaching and developing others on digital analytics tools and data
  • Has demonstrated multiple cycles of success in people development; successfully supporting junior members through promotion cycles etc.
  • A champion of self-serve Digital Analytics; experience indirectly coaching wider members of a large business on how to best leverage Digital Analytics tools and data to solve their own problems
  • Directly led the recruitment of Digital Analytics roles; experience writing job specs, running interviews, selecting suitable candidates and onboarding new talent into a new team and/or business


  • Proven track record of managing up, down and across an organisation
  • Experience working? ?with? ?stakeholders? ?at? ?all? ?levels? ?to? ?understand? ?business? ?questions, gather and scope requirements and provide recommendations to meet the needs of the business and the wider Digital Analytics strategy
  • Managing? ?projects? ?with? ?complex? ?requirements? ?with? ?multiple? ?stakeholders? ?to? ?a successful? ?conclusion, with strong ability to appropriately communicate with all levels of business (junior through to exec)
  • Regularly bounces ideas off others as a sounding board, open to constructive feedback on an approach and technique - with demonstrated success in self-development / improvements
  • Humbly gives and receives feedback from others
  • Contributed to other team's roadmaps, ensuring consistency and appropriate integration with your own business roadmaps
