By providing expertise and insight, we support our members, partners, and stakeholders as they prepare the UK for what comes next in a constantly changing world.The Role:This role will support the Programme Heads for the Health & Social Care Programme and the Justice and Emergency Services Programme in the delivery of workstream activities (market engagement and thought leadership). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on existing workstreams, as well as grow new areas of programme activity across both health and care and public safety services. They will strengthen and establish relevant partnerships across the public sector stakeholders and work closely with tech suppliers.Reporting directly to the Head of Health & Social Care, the role is required to work across both the Health and Emergency Services programmes, having the chance to collaborate with other programmes across techUK, including Local Public Services and National Security.This is a full-time role based in techUK's London offices with flexibility for hybrid working.Key Responsibilities:Assisting Programme Heads in the implementation of techUK's Health and Social Care and Justice & Emergency Services programme activitiesFacilitation of two key member-led working groups driving interoperability in healthcare and interoperability in policingSuccessfully leading, managing and delivering the programme of industry events, managing working groups and committeesManaging techUK's partnerships and relationships, from key NHS bodies to Police Forces, National Policing Bodies and Fire and Rescue ServicesRaising the profile of our programmes through effective use of comms channels such as regular newsletters, podcasts, social media, guest blogs, campaign weeks and ensuring regular content is available through the websiteManaging a number of techUK member accounts to help with retention and ensure members are maximising value from wider techUK membershipAssisting the Programme Heads and membership team in finding and recruiting new members through research and articulating, explaining and selling the benefits of membershipConducting research and writing papers, as well as producing summaries of key policy documents and supporting the preparation of public policy submissions to regulatory reviews or government consultationsWorking with relevant techUK teams across the markets, policy and tech & innovation pillars of techUK to ensure we support them in delivering their objectives and seek their input as necessaryAny other duties as required by the programmePerson Specification:Competencies:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsGood organisational skills and attention to detailA great team playerAbility to identify, propose and negotiate new opportunities for techUKA self-motivated individual with a positive, can-do approach who is comfortable working in a high pressure, fast-paced environment with competing demands, and responding to tight deadlinesExcellent administrative skills including experience of minute writingAbility to use the tools and technologies techUK provides; including but not limited to Microsoft O365, CRM, mobile, online conferencing platforms and home working software.Essential Knowledge and Experience:Experience of managing or supporting multiple projectsExperience of managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and comfortable working with senior individuals in industry and within governmentStrong interest in technology, the tech industry and public sectorDesired Knowledge and Experience:An understanding of the UK political structures or policy formulationExperience of working in, or knowledge of the technology and/or IT industry, and the technology landscape of health and social care, law enforcement, policing and the emergency servicesExperience responding to public sector consultationsThe successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK prior to the commencement of employment.
