Main duties of the job

*Work in an agile software development team to deliver functionality and enhancements to TEL's platforms, driven by the needs of end-users and the training programme.

*Contribute to the decision-making process using your technical knowledge and understanding of the systems in use.

*Take responsibility for the code base of applications, setting standards and expectations of developers to ensure high quality and adherence to associated standards and helping them to meet them through code reviews and learning opportunities.

*Develop appropriate strategies or policies to support the use of emerging technologies and systems.

*Help manage front- and back-end web resources ensuring high quality and adherence to associated standards and compliance.

*Establish partnerships/constructive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders and actively develops and maintains these

*Develop and implement impact/risk assessments of new digital services and systems.

*Carry out regular research to ensure that work, technologies and standards are up to date and relevant to industry standards and the needs of the organisation.

*Champion Agile ways of working and ensure alignment to the Government Digital Service Standard.

*Implement digital service development in such a way as to ensure digital assets remain secure from threat and vulnerability.
