Your analysis will shape our future. And the future of businesses across Britain.

We support hybrid working.

The Insolvency Service is a leading Government agency that plays a crucial role in maintaining business confidence to power economic growth. Our 1,700 people across 22 offices support companies and citizens in financial distress, maximise returns to creditors and investigate any commercial misconduct, whilst safeguarding the interests of redundant employees. You can join us in our mission and enjoy a fast-moving career with exceptional rewards.

Our Application Services team is responsible for developing and maintaining a diverse range of business applications and harnessing cutting-edge technology to streamline our services and processes. Methodical, rigorous and perfectionist, you will devise and undertake design testing at every stage of the application development lifecycle, whilst participating fully in the scrum team. We will look to you to take a business and operational view when analysing system tests, so we require far more than just a technical professional - though your knowledge of applications will speak for itself.

Experienced in using Selenium, Postman and Gherkin, adept in all aspects of testing automation and well versed in JMeter, you will be ready to take the lead in both functional and non-functional evaluations. What's more, you will be capable of thinking creatively and strategically - asking the right questions to find the right answers for our evolving business needs. Finally, you will be equally comfortable taking far-reaching decisions and operating in a collegiate manner and you will enjoy planning programmes of activity, conducting in-depth research and carefully aligning people with challenges.

In return, you can expect outstanding conditions of employment, including flexible working arrangements, 25 days' holiday (increasing to 30 days after five years), additional paid leave for learning, development and volunteering, a season ticket loan, generous parental leave, an employee assistance programme, a season ticket loan and membership of the Civil Service pension scheme.
