Working within the Skills and Employment Unit, the Senior Data Analysts will support the production of the external publication of the Adult Education Budget's programme data, and other large educational data sets. This role will also provide high quality AEB programme analysis and advice to inform the GLA's skills strategy and policy development, with a focus on supporting the GLA's initial and on-going responsibility of skills provision and funding under the Adult Education Budget.

The role will build the GLA's expertise in using Individualised Learner Record data, by working within the Skills and Employment Unit to disseminate knowledge of this dataset and work in collaboration with other technical and policy colleagues on a range of funding policy and evaluation workstreams.

You will be highly numerate with substantial experience in the analysis and interpretation of large computerised datasets, and a strong proficiency in analysing data or building reproducible processes using code (such as Python, R or SQL). You will also have detailed knowledge of the key Further Education dataset, the Individualised Learner Record and other related statistics.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade's Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL).

At present GLA staff are working largely from home, with office space available at our offices based at City Hall, More London. Over the coming weeks and months, we will moving to hybrid working, linked to our relocation programme. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
