Network Security AnalystOpportunity:
A leading cloud consultancy is currently recruiting an Network Security Analyst who has a good understanding of SIEM, Security Controls, ISO 27001 and a background in IT Infrastructure. This is a permanent role offering a salary circa of £45,000 + Bonus + Hybrid working to join our client who is based in Bromley.
You'll provide technical assistance with the initial set-up and secure deployment of systems that support information security including EDR, firewall technologies (such as content filtering, intrusion detection and prevention), security incident and event management and vulnerability management. You'll then transition these services into support, help maintain them, and regularly test and fix issues as they arise.
Responsibilities:
Create, implement and continue the maturation of comprehensive risk management frameworks around key products and our customers
Identify technology and security risks associated with non-compliance to industry best practises and standards, external third party/vendor applications, Privacy/Data Protection regulatory changes, availability of services, business continuity and disaster recovery
Implementing technological changes, within customers platforms, and security technologies
Assist in the creation and maintenance of a security related newsletter and other Cyber related training material to improve end users' security
Troubleshoot identified IT security related problems, be able to analyse the cause and effect of implementing corrective procedures to gain change control sign off and be part of the team making those changes.
Being part of the team who are responsible for the research, design, development, and implementation of security/protection technology as defined by the business
Regular research of threats / threat actors that could potentially affect customers
Resolving security related work planned and unplanned, in hours, and out of hours - in a security crisis event, or planned maintenance event (patching / upgrades etc.)
Seek to continuously improve good security principles and standards to recognised frameworks such as Cyber Essentials+, ISO27001
Essential:
Experience in integrating security controls into an Azure cloud environment, and on premises infrastructure, including end user support
Experience with IPS/IDS and SIEM technologies.
Creating and reviewing results from security scans, experience in deploying fixes following internal / external Penetration tests, vulnerabilities assessments & audits
Basic certifications in security, comparable to CompTIA Security +, CompTIA CYSA+
3-4 years of technical experience on a busy support helpdesk, with a broad understanding of technology with recent hands-on experience in administering IT security controls in an organization.
Credible, confident, and articulate, with excellent communication and presentation skills and the gravitas to deliver ideas clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
Extensive hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting customer requirements and support issues in a changing Server, Storage, Application and Networking environment.
Knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases, and systems in relation to IT Security and IT Risk.
