Division: POL Test Service
The Purpose of the role This is a Software tester position required withing newly established and maturing POL test services team. This role will be responsible for delivering testing requirements of Post Office.
It's a real chance to shape the direction of the testing team, working closely with the team. Main purpose of this role is to set up, maintain and run tests across the horizon and landscape applications. Principal Accountabilities Analyze & Interpret business and functional specifications. Co-ordinate with Business Analysts and Design teams for query resolution. Manually test applications. Perform System testing; Integration testing; Regression testing; Acceptance testing. Participate in Test scoping. Test estimations. Design test scenarios; Test cases; Prepare test data; Raise defect Execute Test cases; Record Evidences; Raise defects. Participate in defect life cycle. Co-ordinate with third party vendors/suppliers & teams for test execution and ensure quality throughout the testing life cycle. Participate in Defect triage. Help troubleshoot defects/errors/bugs/incidents. Participate in all the testing activities throughout the testing life cycle. Qualificatons, Experience and skills Qualifications- Educated to degree level or equivalent. Experience - Entry level Tester or up to 1 years of testing experience. Should be familiar with different testing methodologies and range of testing techniques. Specific skills and level e.g. Communication skills - Good communications skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate progress and issues at all levels within the business. Attention to Detail. Analytical mind; problem solving aptitude. Passion for Software testing and ability to learn. Technical expertise - Familiar with Software testing; QA methodologies & Framework. Certifications. - ISTQB Foundation (Good to have).
