The purpose of the role The HM Horizon IT Test Manager/lead will support; test and deliver programme(s); projects; Change. Provide robust testing function.
The role is part of a high performing team (HM Horizon IT) that is focused on delivering testing and governance of test activities. Principal accountabilities  Responsible for delivering System testing; System Integration Testing; Regression Testing; Non-functional testing; OAT; External clients testing; Factory testing. Conduct requirement and design analysis for test scoping. Arrange and participate in discussions with technical teams for query resolutions. Create test approach and strategy; test plan; test scripts; Test estimates as appropriate. Ensure planning and delivery of testing with desired quality. Create test data requirements for testing required. Conduct review and assessment against new and/or incremental change. Ensure various regression packs are designed in sync with releases and maintain regression packs. Co-ordinate with business and stakeholders for release priority and associated quality aspects. Work with stakeholders; technical teams and vendors to ensure enough test coverage and quality. Work closely with UAT team for handshake and any support required from testing perspective. Manage resource demands for testing required including data alignment and test environment baselines in line with release schedules. Further principal accountabilities  Responsible for sprint planning and daily stand-up meeting(s) Provide Training and mentor team of testers and test analysts. Meticulous test estimations to support releases. Execute the overall test approach from end to end testing perspective. Co-ordinate with vendors for required test support. Deliver testing within the fence of overarching test policy and test strategy of post office. Arrange and run defect triage and ensure defects are in logical statuses always. Maintain RAID logs and provide informed view to stakeholders. Ability to research and select appropriate testing tools as required. Reporting - Create daily and weekly testing status reports as applicable and suitable. Manage day to day activities of test team including tasking, resource planning, performance management. Responsible for creating test summary/closure reports. Provide support to organisational initiatives; recruitment; trainings. Qualifications, Experience and skills Educated to degree level or equivalent. Proven test lead/manager experience with extensive knowledge (demonstrable) in methodologies like waterfall; iterative; agile and hybrid Professional /formal certification in testing - ISTQB Foundation (minimum). Agile training/qualifications including TDD; BDD; Scrum; would be advantageous. Technologies & Tools - Demonstrable experience in testing Java based applications; AWS cloud bases environment; Jira; Zephyr; Confluence; Jenkins; testing a platform consisting of multiple services. Strong experience and deep understanding of testing webservices including authentication; authorization and simulating JSON requests and responses.
