We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation, and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

Our global organisation is transforming to meet future needs in learning, assessment and academic publishing in an increasingly digital world, and our Business Architecture and Strategic Alignment team is very much a part of realising those ambitions. We are enterprise-focused and have a mission to ‘bridge strategy and execution'.

We develop and deliver enterprise business and change architecture, for example by connecting strategic objectives to change and investment planning. We translate complex systems landscapes into capability-based views and roadmaps, and we help shape the technical design of information, technology, and digital products and services so that valuable outcomes can be delivered.

We place a very high priority on personal development and learning, offering individuals a highly supportive environment and the opportunity to grow themselves whilst contributing to the organisation's strategic ambitions.

The role

As Senior Business Architect, within your assigned business area(s), you will develop a deep understanding of business strategic context, customers, products, business / operating models, and contribute on an ongoing basis to organisational conversations with stakeholders at all levels, including executives. Developing a clear line of sight to the strategic goals of your customers and stakeholders, you will ‘translate' complex landscapes into clear visualizations using modelling approaches that span a range of purposes according to stakeholder needs.

As a member of the wider Technology, Architecture and Analysis teams, you will have lots of opportunities to work with and help other, more technical, digital product, data and analysis focused colleagues, and to help us to meaningfully connect our approaches.

We would love to hear from candidates who are inspired to make a difference and who are motivated by teamwork, creative and strategic thinking, and by problem-solving and facilitation.

For a full brief on what this role involves, or what will make you successful, please see the full job description attached to the bottom of this vacancy on our careers page.

Benefits

In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class rewards package that will help you to live well at work, and outside of it. You'll find a wide range of benefits and policies, from family-friendly incentives, to a generous pension, to discounts on everyday shopping. Our benefits promote financial security, personal wellbeing and a reduced environmental impact. See a full list of benefits on our careers site.
