WHAT TO EXPECT

In your role as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for our digital security, reviewing documentation and liaising with third parties to create and review our cybersecurity standards, managing projects when needed.
You'll develop robust security solutions and practices for real world deployment, documenting and organising information to create clear and concise insights into our security operations and their importance.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Creating and reviewing cybersecurity standards.
* Developing robust security solutions.
* Documenting and organising information to gain insights in security operations.
* Develop, document and institutionalize JLR cyber security best practice software guidelines, practices and procedures.
* Work directly with in house and Tier 1 suppliers to guide and ensure compliance to the guidelines.
* Conduct software guidelines reviews, identify gaps, recommend solutions, and ensure alignment with strategies Best practice software designs for security/ reliability;
* Advise cyber security leadership on all aspects of cyber operations and cyber security affecting security and critical infrastructure.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED

As the Cyber Security Engineer you will have proven experience and track record of delivery within cyber security or a field relevant to the role. You will hold a formal qualification such as degree within, Computer Science, Cyber security or another relevant discipline. You will be self-motivated and driven with the ability to confidently deliver within a complex highly demanding environment. You will also be a strong communicator and able to work with and communicate ideas with internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL

* Experience coordinating Cybersecurity operations, Key Management System and/or vulnerability management
* Strong knowledge and experience of Cryptography
* Competence to work in initial concept definition and to write the full set of requirements.
* Experience in software development and delivery services, security engineering, or other technical risk management skills.
* Capable of conceptualizing, defining, and implementing security systems and architectures.



DESIRABLE

* Experience in automotive development (keywords - AutoSAR, SecOC, CAN and CAN-FD, automotive Ethernet, QNX and so on

* Experience with secure embedded architecture design.
* Experience in HSMs, NIST standards and PKCS standards
Experience with embedded system concepts and hardware interfaces, such as, JTAG, UART, SPI, I2C, ROM, Microcode, Custom ASIC/FPGAs x86 and ARM chipset and firmware security (TPM, UEFI, Trust Zone, Secure/Measured Boot, JTAG, PCIe)
