The role

The Senior Systems Officer will manage the online application system used to recruit scholars for the Commonwealth Scholarships programme funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships programme managed by the ACU. This includes making changes to the system as required for multiple programme streams and managing contractual relationships with system(s) suppliers.

The post holder will work closely with the Programme team and the Data & Insight team in the CSC Secretariat and with the QECS Manager. There will be scope for becoming involved in other projects including looking at alternative systems for the scholar application cycle.

Who are we looking for?

You will need:

Advanced computer competency (including, e.g., HTML/ XML coding, advanced Excel, good technical knowledge of databases and query languages (SQL Query Language), Excel Macros/VBA, Advanced MS-Office as well as an aptitude for learning new systems.

Experience of Online Forms and survey building software, online application systems, CRM/CMS systems

Knowledge of report writing tools e.g., Crystal Reports/ Power BI

A good knowledge of cloud-based systems and particularly in implementation, roll out and management.

Demonstrated experience of data manipulation and analysis. Experience of producing a wide range of business insights, data analytics and reports

Knowledge of contract/ relationship management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to contribute to high quality reports.
