This Software Tester job offers you an amazing opportunity to work with an Irish Fintech start-up (very successful, outstanding list of existing customers, household names).Greenfield development environment, SaaS Product Company using all modern technology. In this role you will work very closely with the CTO and Head of Product. 4 key areas of experience they are looking for in this Quality Assurance Engineer (QA) are SDLC, API Testing, UI/Backend Auatomation Testing & Test Management Tool.Their offices are based in Dublin City. They would like you to be able to attend the office once every 2 weeks. Salary: Up to EUR65,000You will have a passion for quality and the desire to shape this companies Test strategy as the first hire on the QA team. The QA time will grow in the future. You're a problem solver and excited to identify deficiencies that could impair their sales and technical processes.

You work well with technical teams and see software development as a team sport.As is stands right now this company has no long term test strategy, amazing opportunity for you to make your mark. Right now, their .NET development team do the automation testing (unit testing and some black box testing) and their product manager does high level smoke testing (user acceptance testing / UAT)This role breaks down ( 65% UX/UI testing 35% API testing)

50% manual / static testing (requirements level)

30% maintaining and running automation

20% test strategyDevelop a deep knowledge of their business platforms and backend to help assess their overall quality. Create a Quality Assurance plan which includes both manual and automated aspects. Review requirements prior to implementation and be able to identify risk area. Ensure that, on a sprint-by-sprint basis, user stories are tested appropriately prior to releases.

Clearly define any issues found and document the root cause. Create clear metrics that show quality on a release, business area and platform level.

Work closely with the team to understand the designed and implemented state for each requirement. Run and maintain the automated test suite.

Co-ordinate with other team members on any bugs raised in Production.4+years working as a Quality Assurance Engineer (QA)

Software Lifecyle tools ( Rally, Jira, Azure Dev Ops) essential

API testing essential - Jmeter or Postman or similar

Automation frameworks that covered backend and UI - examples Cypress / Selenium / Cucumber or similar - they use Cypress

Test case management tools essential - Testrail, Azure Dev Ops, Zephyr

Testing statistics - generating them and using the results to drive quality improvements

You will genuinely love Testing Software

Passionate about structures of testing / test philosophy / methodology

Wants to take the next step and carve out / contribute to their overall testing strategy

Strong communicator, can stand up to the development team and challenge them in a respectful and collaborative way

Highly advantageous Confluence or similar
