Functieomschrijving We are looking for a Front End Software Developer join Airbus Defence & Space in Portsmouth. The role is for a developer to join a scrum team as part of a wider program to deliver a management system for a new Satellite. The developer shall contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle and thus have solid experience in software design, wire framing and prototyping, development (particularly using JavaScript, TypeScript and CSS) and test. The developer must have experience of working with a recognised industry frameworks. Automated testing is a critical part of the project so any experience of this would be highly beneficial. You will need to be eligible to gain UK SC Security Clearance. Tasks & Accountabilities Development of code within an agile environment (scrum) Working with the team to design, implement and test features for a new product development. Task estimation in accordance with sprint planning. This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. Skills & Experience Required skills: JavaScript, xHTML, HTML5 and CSS3 Working with wireframes/mock-ups. Experience of coding to RESTful interfaces Agile Development Processes (Sprints) Responsive web design CI/CD delivery techniques Source code management (ideally using GIT) Issue tracking systems (we use Jira) User Experience concepts (e.g. intuitive, efficient) Ability to self-motivate and to work well within a team environment.
