About the role?
We have a permanent position available for an IT Support Specialist to work in the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time as new systems and applications have just been introduced and we continue our journey to move to the cloud.
You will provide first class support to colleagues supporting teams and providing an escalation route for complex or challenging customer contacts where appropriate, you will have an opportunity to work in all aspects of IT and will have exposure to the latest technologies and ways of working.

What you need to succeed
You will:
Be educated to HNC level or equivalent in an IT related discipline or have two plus years of relevant experience
Have experience of working in a customer focused IT Service desk
Have knowledge of Office productivity tools, such as O365, Dynamics 365 and bespoke line of business applications
Have experience of supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365
Act as an escalation point for technical issues.

Our office is in Dundee but this role is home based at the moment as we develop our agile working policy. We encourage remote working and support a less office-based format. We are happy to discuss individual arrangements and consider agile working as an option, depending on job requirements (such as being in the office for training events and meetings) and meeting the eligibility criteria determined by the new policy.
