Infrastructure Support Engineer Cambridge / WfH to £50k
Infrastructure Support Engineer (Linux Automation TCP/IP) *Hybrid WfH*. Do you have a good knowledge of Linux OS and a love of problem solving? You could be working on challenging and complex systems whilst progressing your career and continually learning at one of the world's most advanced cyber security technology companies.
As an Infrastructure Support Engineer you'll handle 3rd line escalations from the Helpdesk Support Team and pro-actively seek ways to enhance the platform, providing stability, pipeline automation and low level debugging on Linux Operating Systems.
You'll join an Agile team working on a wide variety of projects with a diverse toolset and will be able to take ownership and run your own projects, working fairly autonomously on new ideas you'll see the effect of your work and be a key contributor to a global product at the forefront of technology.
You can work from home 1-2 days a week, when you are in the office you'll be based in Cambridge (about a 20 minute walk from the local station and with regular shuttle bus; there's also parking available) and a range of perks including free top quality catered lunch every Friday, social activities ranging from sports to board game nights; breakout areas and solo pods.
There are no on-call requirements with this Support Engineer role so you'll be working normal office hours, Monday to Friday.
Requirements:
You have commercial experience of supporting Linux systems
You're able to script to automate solutions to common problems (e.g. bash, Python)
You have a good understanding of basic networking protocols e.g. TCP/IP, OSI model
You're familiar with configuration management tools
You're collaborative with good communication skills
