Are you an Assistant Cost Manager currently looking to make their next immediate start for a Chartered Surveying firm working within the rail sector?

My client, a construction surveyor with nine offices nationwide as well as Europe, are currently recruiting for a fully qualified Assistant Cost Manager to join their fast-growing team. They are offering a flexible working model where the successful candidate can work from home twice a week as well as come into the office. The client, an already established company with over 100 people on the books, has been experiencing mass-growth and is looking to extend their workforce by 30% this year. Because of this, the client is putting much emphasis into bringing people with similar values and ambitions - looking to grow and develop, offering a high worth ethic and loyalty to the employer. My client also operates in a multitude of industries, including Utilities, Commercial, Infrastructure as well as Rail.

The successful candidate will possess previous experience within the civils sector and will be expected to tender, evaluate and normalise prices to support contract awards, prepare pricing documents, contract administration, as well as change control in accordance with contract and governance requirements. The candidate will also be managing contractor claims, valuating periodic contractor payments, validating contractor cost reports and internal cost reporting, final accounts, cost of work reports, and attending meetings. Applicants will be preferred to have rail experience as well as some exposure to Oracle. That being said, experience in civils previously is also acceptable.

The client is happy to offer any training and development the candidate wishes to take on to progress in the role. And is looking for people with motivations to become even more accomplished than they already are.
