About The Role In the role of an Infrastructure Engineer you will provide a deep level of technical knowledge responsible for designs, build, implementation of technical solutions to provide Business Value and Infrastructure road-maps.
Own complex production incidents and problem, collaborating with other technical teams to troubleshoot and ensure a complete resolution.  Co-ordinate initiatives to deliver service improvements allocating tasks to colleagues and ensuring completion of work to agreed quality criteria and timescales.  Continually assess ways of working in order to develop or revise artefacts and processes that improve team efficiency and effectiveness.  A role model within the team who provides mentoring and coaching to peers and junior team members. About You
Demonstrable broad expertise in their technical discipline with considerable depth in chosen specialist areas.  Professional technical certification or similar would be desirable. Essential experience of working in a complex, pressurised production environment. 
Essential
Proficient in IBM block storage technologies (A9000, FS9100 & SVC)
Proficient in IBM Spectrum Scale (NFS & SMB)
A good understanding of SAN technologies (IBM SVC SAN, NetApp), FC-HBA & NFS connectivity including Cisco MDS.
A good understanding of IBM Secure Key Lifecycle Manager (SKLM) and its use/configuration
A good understanding of Storage architectures and previous experience supporting
Have experience in delivering Storage strategy via major projects
Experience with the implementation of Storage solutions
An appreciation of vSAN, HCI and Dell vxrail technologies
Experience of using the Microsoft Office products to create and manage documentation. Desirable skills
A good understanding of Virtualisation technologies (VMware)
A good understanding of Backup software (Commvault)
An appreciation of Monitoring Technologies (SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Datadog etc)
Knowledge of VMware Cloud offerings such as VMC on AWS
Knowledge of public AWS server administration and features
An appreciation of Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) and associated features
A good understanding of Linux command line technologies
Experience of working in a DevOps environment Other essential information: Available for out-of-hours support, on a Call-out rota basis. Able to work under pressure. Thorough, with a good attention to detail. Deliver to agreed timescales. Flexible approach to working hours to meet own objectives and assist colleagues in meeting their objectives.
