What - IT Support Engineer, Linux Where - Based in Oxfordshire, our client will offer a hybrid model of working When - Actively seeking appropriate profiles now Why - A growing and dynamic Semi-Conductor company who have world-class expertise in supplying custom analog, mixed signal and digital IC’s to its international customers in the Automotive, Healthcare, Satcomms and Industrial IoT markets. As an IT Support Engineer your responsibilities will be broad and include:Handling of IT requests via ticketing systemLevel 1 & 2 SupportRemote support for staff using MS Teams and TeamViewerSetting up / upgrading of laptopsEndpoint cyber-security vulnerability patchesLinux (RHEL, Rocky)Authentication/Authorisation (Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, SSH, SASL, 2FA)Virtualisation (KVM, VMWare)Provisioning of new workstation equipment and server/compute farm infrastructureMonitoring of key system parameters and pro-active response to maintain high availabilityDesirable skills
Development (SVN, GIT, Jenkins, Knowledge of EDA development tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) used in IC developmentKnowledge of backup systems (e.g. Synology, VEEAM)Grid computing and job schedulingScripting (Perl, Python, Bash and Ruby)If you think you fit the bill or would like to discuss other IT roles, I would love to speak with you.
