Are you enthusiastic, well organised and versatile, with a strong student service orientation? Do you possess knowledge in surveying and building physics? Do you have experience of working in a research or teaching laboratory environment and want to help support our academic staff to deliver an excellent learning experience for our students?
The Surveying and Building Physics laboratories provide teaching and research support to students and researchers in the School of Civil Engineering. As part of the role, you will have the primary responsibility for supervising and supporting the activities in these laboratories. As a laboratory technician, you will work closely with module leaders to plan and organise outdoor laboratory practicals and off-site field courses as per the teaching curriculum. Additional duties will include maintenance and upkeep of equipment and providing assistance to other team members within the School laboratories. In this varied and interesting role, you will work with technicians, students and academic staff across both laboratories.
