This role will assist the Fatigue testing Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the development and delivery of fatigue modelling technologies, test methods, toolsets and datasets. Including the research and deployment of improved fatigue test methods, data analysis methods and CAE modelling methods as part of the Materials Engineering departments Materials Characterisation team at Gaydon and Whitley.

Main areas of responsibility are supporting the development and delivery of the departments fatigue characterisation data (including test data generation, test data analysis and storage, CAE modelling methodology, validation correlation and reporting). This will cover the development of test methods, scripts for test data extraction and analysis, and creating and running CAE correlation models, to deliver and extract the relevant data that Materials Engineering team and its customers require for CAE fatigue engineering tools such as ncode.
