IT Support & Systems Administrator

£200-£250pd DOE (Inside IR35 Contract)

Initial 3 Months + Monthly Rolling

Central Oxford - Office Based

As a preferred recruitment partner to one of the most prestigious institutions in the world, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a contract IT Helpdesk Support Office / Junior Systems Administrator. This opportunity is ideal for someone with 1st Line IT Support experience looking for their next challenge.

You will work as part of a team providing front line support to all users as well as supporting the systems administrators. You will need to have strong technical, documentation and troubleshooting skills as well as being quick to learn new technologies.

The Role

-Provide front line support to all users and support the system administrators

-45% of time spent staffing the IT helpdesk triaging technical queries for IT support

-55% of time supporting system administration tasks (with key technologies including Windows Server, Hyper-V, Linux, Ansible and Docker)

Experience / Skills Needed

-Windows desktop experience including in a domain environment

-Experience providing frontline IT support to users

-Experience troubleshooting hardware and software

-Mac (Desktop/OS) or Linux (Desktop/OS/Server) experience beneficial, but not essential

Inside IR35: This contract is offered on a PAYE basis (via an umbrella company). The day rate offered is DOE (circa £200 - £250pd) and this is the total amount we would pay your nominated umbrella. It is inclusive of holiday accrual and employer pension contributions. All statutory deductions (both Employers and Employee NI, Income Tax, Apprenticeship Levy, etc.) will be deducted from this figure.
