The IT Enterprise Data Platform team is responsible for managing the data and analytics platforms in Jaguar Land Rover. The primary asset is the Cloud Enterprise Data Warehouse, but we also oversee the provision of key technologies for more end user driven Data Visualisation/Analytics and Data Governance, working in conjunction with the newly established JLR Data Office. The team are responsible for the ingestion, transformation and curation of Enterprise data in the GCP cloud platform and to provide the technical management of the more community led end user tools. The Technical Product Manager required here will have a lead accountability for partnering with the JLR Data Office to ensure that the Data Visualisation and Data Governance platforms run smoothly and value is maximised, taking the platform and services from concept design to implementable solution, and for ensuring that, following agile methodologies, the product can be evolved and scaled post first delivery in line with business demand and adoption, with the use of sound technical architecture practices and approaches. The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for the overseeing the health of products through their lifecycle, proper use, and will make recommendations for improvements.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Essential:
Hands on experience of managing key applications for relevant product area (Tableau, Collibra or equivalent Data Governance platform. Informatica, Alation, Data.World)Deep knowledge of the Tableau platform, including Tableau Online (SaaS), Tableau server and techniques in Data VisualisationExperience of evaluating platform performance improvementExperience of support/incident managementCreation of monitoring/alerting for system observabilityManagement of technical roadmaps and strategic platform designManagement of internal business facing data related portals/web sitesExperience of managing upgrades, cutovers and other maintenance activityWorking knowledge of modern cloud data warehouse platform (e.g. GCP, Azure, AWS)Ability to self-learn and cross-train on new technologies, innovation experienceIn depth IT solutions architecture understanding and hands on experience.Product Management experience including delivery of entire technology based products from start to finishProject delivery experience covering analysis, design, test, deployment and operation of new productsAbility to successfully interact with senior stakeholdersExperience in the use of agile development methodologiesSound understanding of disruptive technologies and innovationExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience of working in a lead role in diverse teams, mentoring and coaching junior staff to maximise performance
Desirable:
International experience ideally working for Blue-chip organisationsExperience in Cloud ETL tools (e.g. Matillion)
