What to expect

The role is to support development of the next generation Rear Wheel Steering (RWS) system on a future vehicle programme.

This role covers a broad range of systems engineering topics, the focus of which will develop as the programme progress from its initial design stage through implementation to engineering sign-off and completion. You will oversee delivery of rigorous Functional Safety and Cyber Security cases, produce documentation in accordance with industry best practise and internal standards as well as assist in the delivery of comprehensive requirements decks, interface specifications and other artefacts required in the implementation phase.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Understanding the relevant quality standards and assisting the RWS team in implementing compliant design and processes throughout the project. Contributing towards the RWS project plan ensuring upcoming deliverables are planned and conducted, and reporting quality compliance accordingly. Leading the failure mode avoidance (FMA) workstream and influencing robust system design. Generating technical evidence and delivering required documentation. Ensuring requirements management and cascade is conducted robustly Liaison with stakeholders throughout the project, ensuring requirements are satisfied (eg diagnostics, manufacturing) What you'll need

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential: Experience delivering safety critical systems in accordance with a quality management process Knowledge of systems and software engineering, preferably with a chassis related product. Able to facilitate compliance to work streams with a pragmatic approach Able to work effectively with a diverse team across different sites and test locations Desirable: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Development or equivalent experience. Experience with requirements management An understanding of vehicle network communications, ECUs and electronics Knowledge of Functional Safety and Cyber Security tools and processes. Experience of Agile delivery methods
