Our client is one of the world's leading providers of post-production services with long-lasting relationships with all of the major broadcasters, such as: BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Warner Bros, HBO. Currently, they're looking to recruit an ambitious Infrastructure Technician not afraid to get involved in all hands-on aspects of the role.The Infrastructure Technician is responsible for collaborating, organising, maintaining, and overseeing the company's infrastructure in order to ensure stability and growth. The prime focuses of the role would be: Server Infrastructure, Storage, Network Infrastructure, Data Communications, Backup Strategies, Disaster Recovery and Telecom Systems. On top of this, the technician would be expected to work with the wider team to support both internal and client IT systems as required.ResponsibilitiesManaging the company's mixed server estateDevelop and propose innovative solutions to potential technical issuesProvide high levels of customer serviceContribute to the deployment of systems and network integrationDelivery of 3rd line operational support for IT services as requiredRequired SkillsExperience providing 3rd line support positionComfortable being client-facingExperience working in a fast paced organisation, and able to manage change on a regular basisPassionate about technology and enthusiastic to continue growing your careerStrong knowledge and experience in virtualisation - VMware/oVirt/KVMStrong experience with Windows and Linux operating systemsGood working knowledge of networking disciplines - IP routing, VPNs and VLANsThis opportunity is offering a hybrid work scheme, allowing 2 days a week to WFH.
