Description of Role:

My client is looking for An individual who has experience implementing technology change and upgrade projects across multiple sites in the South of the UK, predominantly two primary sites, based in Chichester and Andover. As the Network & Infrastructure Engineer, reporting to the Network & Infrastructure Manager, you will be involved in maintaining, monitoring and improving the organisation's LAN/WAN infrastructure, both on site and hosted, ensuring infrastructure is available at all times. You will need to be customer focused, providing 3rd line support in a helpful, friendly, and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

A key point of contact for network, infrastructure, telecommunications and desktop application projects. Working with project managers you will be involved with the planning and coordination of tasks in order to facilitate smooth delivery of projects.To install, maintain, upgrade and continuously improve the LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security and optimum performance.To install, maintain, upgrade and continuously improve onsite system security including server patching, mobile device management, system access policies, virus & malware checking, encryption and internet security.Working with third party consultants facilitate and contribute to the design, configuration and deployment of new infrastructure solutions based on application needs and anticipated growth.To install, maintain and continuously improve wireless networks to ensure high availability, resilience and security at all times.Ensure technical system documentation is produced and maintained.Using technical experience, provide guidance and share knowledge with the rest of the team.
