- Demonstrated knowledge/expertise of data modelling

- Demonstrated expertise building data ingestion pipelines using ADF / load into ADL

- Knowledge of technical design and data governanceSummary: Reporting to the Head of Data, the Senior Azure Data Engineer will play a key role in leading the overall technical implementation of company-wide modern data architecture. The Sr. Azure Data Engineer will also be responsible for leading the transition and integration of data, controls, and services to the new platform. This role will act as the expert and key point of contact between data analysts, data scientists, and business/application teams.Job Duties:Build data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory to extract data from various sources and load into Azure Data LakePrepare notebooks and complex Python / SQL views and stored proceduresPrepare stored procedures in Azure SQL Data Warehouse (DWaaS) / Azure SynapseBuild conceptual and logical models based on the functional flow of business in a scalable mode.Develop data solutions that enable effective decision-making to drive business objectives and address enterprise integration requirementsAnalyze data quality, ensuring all technical designs align to data governanceAddress all required operational requirements during the design and build of data pipelinesMaintain and manage code with Azure DevOpsPerformance Tuning of Spark SQL running on Delta Lake storageProvide Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing solutions/support by leveraging project standards and leading analytics platformEvaluate and define functional requirements for BI and Data Warehouse solutionsQUALIFICATIONS:Technical:Experience working on Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and other Azure data solutions Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Azure and Power BIUnderstanding of Azure and BLOB StorageStrong understanding on Data Warehousing, Data Model, Data Validation, Data MigrationUnderstanding of PBI Data Flows, Data Sets, report and dashboard developmentIntegration between various Power Platform offeringsAgile methodologyProfessional:10+ years of experience working in a senior developer role with close alignment to Data StrategyExperience working on data-driven initiatives and driving business value through the delivery of application and data technologyExpert knowledge of data modellingExperienced with industry leading cloud-based data technologies and end user toolsExperience implementing modern data platforms that provide advanced analytical, self service capabilitiesDemonstrated skills using technology to transform data landscapes to deliver mission critical dataExperience implementing modern data architectures that will define and deliver data as an assetSkilled at leading delivery teams through data modernization implementationsExceptional data analysis and data profiling skillsProven experience leading company-wide data technology transformationsKnowledge of data modelling elementsBenefits:Competitive SalaryComprehensive Benefits ProgramPaid certifications/learning and growth opportunitiesMedical/Dental/Vision401KSuperb company tenure - work for a business trusted for over 25 years!! *Please email a copy of your resume to [email protected] for consideration!
