Big Data Developer (Scala Spark AWS EMR) *Remote*. Would you like to take on a challenging and varied role as a Big Data Developer within a dynamic and growing company?

As a Big Data Developer, you will be joining a team of 6 Data Engineers working within an Agile environment. The team focus on a large data platform that provides analytics on mortgage-based securities in US markets and is set to revolutionise this space with its advanced technology. You'll be within the consulting side of the business with a range of clients within the financial services space and will be responsible for building and maintaining a content management platform for a big data project utilising tools and technologies such as Scala, Spark, AWS, Hadoop, SQL, and Python.

This is a fully remote role allowing you work anywhere within the UK, whilst still being part of a global team.

Requirements:

• You are a talented Big Data Developer with extensive Scala and Spark experience
• You have experience working with AWS
• You are used to working with large data sets
• You ideally have EMR Cluster experience to architect and build data pipelines
• You have previously worked within Agile environments
• You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Desirable: SQL, Python, Docker, Kubernetes
