We are looking for a Lead QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team. You will get to rethink how we do testing at Beacon - for ourselves and our clients alike. You know that comprehensive testing is not only essential for quality, but also have the vision how to make it an integrated force-multiplier for all of engineering and a delight to use.

You will get to work closely with our CI/CD systems and the engineers caring for them. You know who your customers are and see your domain as a service offering instead of a one-way gate.

You have experience in build systems, all forms of automated testing, available tooling and state-of-the-art frameworks. You also know where they fall short, and want to fix that. For you, usability and automation are not just buzzwords, but ideals to live by.

We are not looking for traditional testers or test authors: we want you to own the problem domain, build and maintain the foundation upon which all Beacon's testing can be layered on, and to build the team to make all this a truly engineering-friendly machine.

Key Responsabilties 

Build, own and improve the foundations of a comprehensive, automated testing framework

Improve integration between components, projects and teams

Partner with all of our engineering teams and provide them with the testing machinery they can rely on, as well as extend

Reduce manual labor and time spent in quality assurance, speed up testing cycles, and truly empower our engineers to ship better software faster, and more often

Your profile

8+ years of hands-on experience working with automated testing, technical teams and software QA

Vision for what test automation of the future can and should look like

The drive to bring that vision to reality

Desire to redefine what CI/CD standards should look like

Team leadership experience

Experience with at least two different programming paradigms

A general dislike of toil

Ability to work in a creative, fast-paced environment

A degree in CS is preferable, but not strictly necessary
