What to expect

The CAE CORE Structural Mechanics team leads the development of ‘as made' material and connection models to improve the predictive quality of our virtual series supporting BODY CAE Integration.

This role in the CAE CORE Structural Mechanics team will involve supporting the creation and maintenance of GISSMO 2D & 3D material damage models and connection (SPR & RSW) strength models in LSDYNA.

Working as part of a team of CAE engineers, this role will also develop further modelling tools for CAE structural analysis supporting BODY CAE Integration.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Creation and maintenance of GISSMO 2D & 3D material damage models in LSDYNACreation and maintenance of connection strength models (for example SPRs & RSWs) * Work with the Technical Specialist
* Liaison and collaboration with material suppliers for material damage model development


What you'll need

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:
Knowledge and experience of working with LSDYNAExperience in the use of explicit software and associated pre and post processing packages, for example:LSDYNA, HYPERMESH, OASYS Suite (PRIMER, THIS, D3PLOT) and scripting (JavaScript)
Project and people management skills.Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
Desirable:
Knowledge and understanding of material damage models (for example: GISSMO, DIEM, Hosford Coulomb, Cockroft Latham, Stress Triaxiality & Lode Angle dependence, 2D v 3D failure models, calibration and validation)Experience of CAE connection model development (for example: SPR & RSW) with LSDYNAExperience with scripting in OASYS suite (D3PLOT & THIS) for both pre and post processing (damage models and connections) including scripting in JavaScript
