Lead Software Developer Birmingham / WfH to £60k

Lead Software Developer / Engineer (Java Spring JavaScript Angular) *Hybrid WfH*. Do you enjoy working with a range of technologies across the full stack? You could be progressing your career at a "Tech for Good" software house in a senior, hands-on position.

As a Lead Software Developer will take a lead role in an Agile team within an R&D environment; you'll be working on new projects, PoCs and data integration projects amongst others, working in 3-6 month Sprints. You'll have exposure to the full technology stack; using Java and Spring on the backend and JavaScript with modern Angular in the front end within an AWS environment; you'll be able to suggest and influence future technology choices.

The company works with stakeholders across the energy sector (consumers, industry, academia and government) to identify innovation priorities, gaps in the market and overcome barriers to accelerating the decarbonisation of the energy system at the lowest cost.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home most of the time; meeting up with the team once or twice a month, you'll be joining a friendly, relaxed team based in Central Birmingham (10 minute walk from 3 mainline stations).

Requirements:

You have full stack development experience with Java, Spring and JavaScript (could be weighted be towards backend or frontend)

You're collaborative with Agile team experience, happy to take a lead on projects and mentor others

Ideally you will have an interest in the energy sector and promoting green energy usage
