I am looking for a talented Lead Tester to join a diverse team in a leading Insurance company based in Basingstoke on a hybrid working model
Role & Responsibilities:
As a Lead Tester, you will be required to support the existing team, applying yourself to the relevant part of the project life cycle, ultimately, leading to delivery of successful projects. You will also be able to guide and mentor junior testers and have the ability to motivate them with your passion and drive
Actively seeking opportunities to improve our testing processes and standards.
Understanding of systems and how they all work together.
Works with the different Squads, understanding functional and business requirements, ensuring high quality features are being delivered.
Lead the different testing cycles (System Test, Integration Test, Regression test, Performance/Load test, etc)
Establish functional and automated test objectives, acceptance criteria, workload profiles and use case scenarios.
Ensures the squads are allocating the right resources to the right tests to ensure appropriate level of coverage on each project dependant on criticality and risk.
Work closely with development teams, architects and engineers to test their products under load and make recommendations to improve solution performance, reliability and stability.
Collaborate with other developers and testers to share knowledge, best practices, useful technology, and opportunities for cross-project system design / solutions.
Mentor new starters to ensure they understand both platform and SDLC.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience in testing software developed using the LEMP stack in a microservice architecture.
Experience in testing web services and API's
Automation testing tools (Selenium / Jenkins / Cucumber)
Version control systems GIT (Github / Gitlab)
Java
ISTQB/ISEB foundation as minimum
Test Methodologies, Test Automation and Quality Management
Security and Performance testing
Previous experience in leading testing teams, at people and technology adoption level.
User Experience (UX) principles and best practices
Understanding of process flows and UML Diagrams
Package:
£55,000-£65,000 basic salary
Annual performance related bonus
