The role
We're looking for innovative, motivated and multi-talented IT Service Officers to maintain and improve vital IT services used to deliver military pay, pensions and HR services. You'll work with our delivery partner across a range of challenging IT delivery projects that form part of a major programme of transformation and digitisation. What's more, you'll also be supporting members of the armed services who've made incredible sacrifices on behalf of the UK as well as their dependents.
Your responsibilities will include
Ensuring our IT services meet operational requirements and can consistently deliver for our military and veteran communities.
Taking responsibility for a number of ambitious change projects.
Reviewing and engaging with internal and external projects to make sure any risk to ongoing operations is mitigated.
Collaborate with MOD contractors as well as prime suppliers to monitor IT performance and improve our services.
Work with architecture teams to monitor our technical roadmaps and maintain contractual compliance.
Who we're looking for
Highly motivated and focused, you'll be a good communicator and a genuine team worker with great attention to detail. You'll also be ready to engage with a wide range of people and have the confidence to take responsibility for the success of your projects.
Your skills
You should have a broad range of knowledge and experience in IT projects and service improvement. In particular, we're looking for skills in ITIL service design and service operation lifecycles.
Locations
South West: Gosport. The team you will be working with are based in Centurion, Gosport. We support flexible working patterns including occasional working from home. Please note regular visits to Gosport will be required as part of the role.
