Our client is a well-known building society with headquarters in Swindon; As one of the largest savings and mortgage providers in the UK, 15 million members are at the heart of everything they do.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a .NET, DevOps Engineer for a 6 Month contract based in remotely.
Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for the creation and delivery of technical artefacts to deliver team objectives that are aligned to engineering architectural strategy. Recognised as a technical SME and task leader. Provide strong technical leadership enabling technical decisions to be made with confidence and at pace.
Mortgages part of the business, will be working on the digital mortgage journey, mortgage web app that allows manage mortgages,
Mortgage switcher, the software will be used by customers or representatives on the phone
As a .NET, DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for:
Day-to-day you'll be part of a team delivering first-class solutions in an Agile environment, adopting DevOps practices to enable rapid iteration. You'll help ensure the quality of your solutions are resilient and stand up to being used by thousands of people every day. You'll be involved in mentoring where needed and help to build our development process and strategies.
You'll drive continuous improvements and promote best practice in your team through your actions and behaviours. You will need drive to become an SME within the technologies and applications you are responsible for and own the relationship with those business areas. With the understanding of the end-to-end process from a technical perspective, you will work closely with the Technology Lead, helping to deliver solutions that meet their requirements.
We want you to nurture and value proactive habits and to develop contacts and relationships, so things are done faster and more efficiently. We'll expect you to get stuck in and have a go, knowing that sometimes to fail fast is to learn fast.
What we require from the candidate:
highly competent .NET developer
experience using Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration
This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
