Security Engineer - SC Cleared - Outside IR35

One of our clients are looking for an experienced SC Cleared Security Engineer to join them on a short term contract.

Outside IR35

SC Clearance required

4-6 weeks initially, chance of extension longer term

Based 4 days a week onsite in Waddington - Lincolnshire

Key activities

1.Apply baseline security controls (CIS CAT profiles) to Windows and Linux machines

2.Create hardened Linux builds for deployment

3.Perform testing to verify lockdown(s) and system functionality.

4.Troubleshoot system following lockdown

5.Deploy other system security features (802.1x etc)

6.Support deployment of certificate services (PKI)

7.Document build configurations

8.Script / automate build process (if appropriate)

9.Windows and Group policy Active Directory Domain Services.

10.Active Directory privilege access management.

Knowledge:

Linux (Mainly RHEL, but some CentOS and Ubuntu)

Linux system hardening

IP networking (Cisco Nexus and Catalyst. ACI fabric knowledge useful not essential)

Firewalls (Cisco Firepower)

Windows Certificate Service

Familiar with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)

VMware (useful not essential)
