Cork is fast becoming one of Europe’s busiest locations for Semiconductor companies and offers a great chance to live in a vibrant city and experience Ireland at it’s best.  In this role you will be joining the Mixed-Signal IP Sensor & SerDes Design Teams which are involved in designing Analog and Mixed-Signal ICs for on-chip supply monitoring and includes the design of; voltage and current references, differential clock references, PLLs, high speed PHY receivers and drivers, VCOs and PLLs. The primary focus of the work is on low-power and low-voltage Mixed-Signal design with emphasis on advanced FinFET technology nodes. The successful candidate will design key circuit blocks and work closely with layout engineers. You will be directly involved in delivering next-generation designs for SoCs and will be part of a growing Analog Mixed-Signal design team involved in architecture analysis and IP delivery in leading-edge CMOS process technology nodes at 5nm and beyond. Responsibilities include:
Development of Analog/Mixed Signal Circuits using CadenceParticipate in internal customer requirements discussions.Create design specifications.Perform circuit design in the latest FinFet CMOS processes technologies and beyond.Set-up, run and analyse circuit simulations.Perform silicon characterisation and prepare silicon verification reportsIndustry degree qualified, you will have established experience in transistor-level circuit implementations or from a PhD program focused on full custom Analog IC Design using nanometer CMOS technologies. In addition you will have a good understanding of device physics, Analog circuit custom layout, power distribution networks, Mixed-Signal design flow, SoC top-level integration and Cadence IC Design Tools. Experience is required in Analog IC Design preferably for high-speed SerDes, DDR or RF PHY applications. Experience is also required in the design of; op-amps, band-gaps, differential amplifiers, VCO, PLL, DLL, SerDes. Experience in SPICE simulators and schematic capture tools (Cadence Virtuoso experience preferred) with an understanding of signal integrity in high-speed wireline design is ideal. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is required for this role.
