We run and maintain the Scottish Government's supply chain software service which automates the processing of purchase orders through to the payment of invoices covering £7bn+ per annum of Scottish Government spend. We also provide eProcurement, eInventory, eHealth and eFunding solutions for many NHS Trusts and other clients around the world.
What You'll be Doing:
The role holder will be responsible for delivering effective go to market strategy "GTM '' into our key sector focus groups, currently NHS, local government, central government, and education. Noting that this may grow to cover all public sector verticals. The role will require working with new logos and their wider ecosystem, for example LEP's, regional advisory sector boards, association and procurement hubs for example YPO, NOECPC etc.. .
This is a broad role which combines an element of selling and relationship management, often at a senior level. You will work with internal stakeholders such as marketing, finance and attract new business alongside promoting the additional company services and products.
The role will be responsible for delivering effective account management to buying groups and procurement frameworks leveraging our current framework position as well as keeping updated on any new or framework refreshes that would provide further public sector exposure to our solutions and services in order to drive new business.
The role will report to the VP Sales and is expected to influence the wider public sector sales strategy, focusing on maximising sales efficiencies to meet the overall business sales and margin targets
To be successful in getting this role it means that you have a real passion and drive for our vision for enabling the public sector through our services. As well as having an energetic and dynamic approach. You will have experience of creating, managing, and identifying new and existing opportunities along with a strong commercial acumen. As well as knowledge and experience of leveraging public sector procurement processes and frameworks.
You have excellent presentation, sales, and communication skills. Be able to nurture a thought leader position within customers and prospects at all levels, both at C suite but also the wider sphere of influence within a customer, to position both you and our business as a trusted advisor.
+ Understanding of public sector, third sector and arm's length bodies ALMO's
+ Experience of wider Public Sector associations SOCTIM, TECHUK and LEPS etc.
+ Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, or similar CRM
+ Knowledge of national, sector and regional public sector procurement frameworks
+ Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Packages
Skill Set Required:
+ Ideally experience of direct selling to the Public Sector
+ Knowledge of Public Sector frameworks
+ Thorough knowledge of the tender process from full competition through to mini and direct award, including RFP and RFI processes
+ Strong presentation and communication with ability to communicate to a senior level of stakeholder
+ Awareness of the Public Sector themes and technology requirements and be able to brief the wider management board
+ Experience of a formal sales approach and training
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent time management & personal organisational skills
+ Strong networking & relationship building skills - both externally and internally
+ Self-driven and results orientated
