If so, then please see below… Mechanical Design Engineer Warrington £45k Progressive and European Engineering Giant in Nuclear Engineering are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer for their Engineering Centre of Excellence in Warrington, owing to significant business growth and project pipeline for 2023+. Based in Warrington and reporting into a Principal Design Engineer, the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:Delivery of Mechanical Design packages, dependent on the size / complexity of the work scope.Delivery of technically compliant design deliverables in accordance with the Design Input Requirements.Leading a team of Design Engineers to deliver the appropriate solution from Front End Engineering to Detailed Design production.Provide Engineering Support to manufacture right through to client handover. Specifically, the Mechanical Design Engineer will: Interpretation of Design Input Requirements, in support of the Principal / Responsible Engineers into fit for purpose solutions.Production and verification of fit for purpose calculations where requiredProduction and verification of fit for purpose design documentation where requiredDelivery in accordance with allocated budgeted cost and timescalesDay to day management of the Engineering design team (up to 5 personnel)Supervision, verification and production of design deliverablesDesign co-ordination with other engineering disciplinesIncorporation of external specialist engineering design informationIdentification and inclusion of bought out plant and equipmentPresentation and/or participation at HAZOP and Design ReviewsLiaison with Manufacturing, Testing and Commissioning personnel to ensure design optimisation Qualification & Experience Required for Mechanical Design Engineer role: Previous Mechanical Design Experience (as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer etc)Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similarPrevious experience of design using 3D CAD Design software packagesPrior experience of using FEA Analysis Software and conduct Mechanical Engineering Calculations to validate designs (such as stress & structural calculations, stress of components etc).Experience of Concept Design through to Manufacturing Documentation Production, Verification via testing and installation design activities.Conversant with British and European Technical and Legislative standards For the successful Mechanical Design Engineer, a salary up to £45,000 is on offer and this Mechanical Design Engineer role is commutable from Warrington, Liverpool, Preston, Manchester, Salford, Crewe, Chester, Runcorn, Bolton, Wigan & St Helens.
