Platform Engineer Team Lead

£80,000 - £100,000 + Training + Progression + Remote working + Pension + Benefits

Excellent opportunity for a Platform Engineer Team Lead looking to make key technical decisions and join high-growth Start-Up offering excellent progression opportunities.

This company have been in business for around 10 years and are specialists in SEO Marketing for E-Commerce businesses. With over 200 clients and counting, they are expanding and are about to open their first ever US office.

In this role you will work as part of a collaborative and interdisciplinary technical team to scale the platform, ensuring the system so that it runs effectively and smoothly. You will mentor junior engineers as well as work with external stakeholders to understand their needs and offer solutions.

The ideal candidate will have previous commercial experience with AWS in a Platform Engineering role and have a deep understanding of AWS Compute, Storage, Container and Networking services. You will have experience with IaC ideally Terraform. You will also understand AWS costs, always seeking to minimise cost and maximise benefit.

The Role:

*Mentoring and Training Junior Engineers

*Handling incidents and offering solutions

*Assessing AWS costs, seeking to minimise cost and maximise benefit for the business

*Scaling vertically and horizontally for maximum business value

*Remote Working

The Person:

*Strong understanding of AWS Compute, Storage, Container and Networking services

*Strong experience building & Maintaining CI/CD Pipelines

*Experience in IaC

*Ideally degree in Computer Science or Similar
