What are we looking for?
As a lead web developer, your role will be varied and exciting, working across a wide range of projects. With hands-on support from the agency's founding team and our talented senior designers, you'll work across all areas of development, mainly focussing on bespoke WordPress sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Working with clients and third-party partners to deliver exceptional quality web projects - mainly bespoke WordPress builds
- Attending client calls and meetings to provide updates on various types of web projects
- Assisting the sales team with scoping out projects
- Working closely with the SEO team to ensure best practices are followed
- Bringing fresh ideas and practical solutions to the table to solve client problems
- Quality checking work produced to ensure high quality results
- Gathering quotes from multiple suppliers who best fit the project requirements
What are we looking for?
- Experience with the below platforms:
- WordPress
- Shopify
- WooCommerce
- Experience with the below technologies:
- GIT
- PHP
- SCSS
- Webpack / Gulp JS
- JS
- jQuery
- CSS
- Vue JS / React
- VPS Setups (CentOS / Ubuntu)
- API's (REST / SOAP)
- Experience managing projects in an Agile fashion
- An understanding of:
- Site performance optimisation
- Technical SEO on-site optimisation
- SQL
- Experience liaising with clients to scope out development projects to provide accurate quotations
- Excellent problem solver
- A university degree or formal design training is great but not a strict requirement
- A talent for generating exceptional development work, on-brief and within the time allocations agreed
- Excellent organisation skills and an ability to manage deadlines, your workload and the expectations of clients, colleagues and suppliers
- A love and genuine interest in design and digital marketing
