Jefferson Frank are supporting a client who are recognised as a provider of first class business related solutions to the UK health care industry. Our client are digitising the pharmaceutical industry, moving services from in-store onto online, so the everyday person can be comfortable ordering prescriptions, booking flu jabs from the comfort of their home. The role of Senior Full Stack Developer is going to consist of multiple greenfield project, working closely with different squads internally. Day to day:You'll work collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary team and have a passion for solving problems and quality-first coding. You'll build, maintain, and support high quality digital products and services.This is a hands on role and you will carry out a wide range of activities, from actively writing code as an experienced member of a delivery team, building our platforms, developing our technical standards through to coaching other engineers and engaging with non-technical people at all levels of seniority.Our client follows a DevOps approach meaning this is a 'build it, run it' team. So in addition to building products and services you will also play an active part in supporting them in life. Responsibilities:Build, maintain & support software applications for high-volume, high-performance, high-availability solutions and platforms.Ensure that technical standards are being followed, by colleagues and 3rd party suppliers.Effective delivery of work within iteration cycles; escalation & management of delivery challenges at an iteration/sprint level.Supporting delivery teams with specific technical challenges.Drive continuous improvement in the performance and resilience of our live services.Motivated to continuously improve and achieve excellence.Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of designs and code.Promote diversity, team spirit and a sense of mutual responsibility to deliver customer excellence. Key Skills NeededExperience in a hands-on software engineering role, implementing and maintaining applications and services.Experience with source code management and version control.Experience of tooling and practices for automated build, integration, and deployment.Experience developing applications to be deployed in the cloud, e.g. AWS or Azure.Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.Good working experience with the application of software development security best practicesCapable and experienced in Test Driven DevelopmentExperienced and comfortable with pair programming.Experience working with relational databases; any exposure to NoSQL databases would be of interestDemonstrably capable OOD practitioner, familiar with common patterns, principles and practicesStrong programming skills in a relevant stack, ideally Java/Spring and/or React.If this is something you'd like to learn about in more detail, please apply and one of our certified consultants will be able to give you a call.
