Glasgow - HMPO Northgate

Summary

Her Majesty's Passport Office (HMPO) is an operational arm of the Home Office. It is a customer focused organisation providing passports for British citizens and passport verification services. Through the General Register Office (GRO), it also oversees the system of civil registration in England and Wales, including births, adoptions, civil partnerships, marriages and deaths. HMPO employs around 4,700 people, interacts with 7 million customers per year and delivers its civil registration functions in partnership with a range of government departments and the 174 local authorities who provide the service directly to their local community.

Strategy and Transformation (S&T) is a fast paced and dynamic directorate at the heart of HMPO. We seek to collaborate with others to design, deliver, sustain and optimise our organisation for the public and our people. S&T defines the organisation's strategy, business design and delivery plans, runs a variety of major change projects to implement these and is responsible for the continued effective operation of our digital services. We work closely with our colleagues across HMPO to deliver a comprehensive approach to change internally. We work in collaboration with others across Government, especially in relation to advancing digital transformation, improving public service delivery to the public and protecting the public.
