Business Development Manager - Food & Packaging Field Based (Travel to Milton Keynes) £62,000-67,000k + 25% Commission (£83,750 OTE) + Company Car + Fuel Card + 25 Days Holiday + Holiday Purchase Scheme + Pension + Private Health insurance + 4x base life assurance. The main objective of this role is to expand companies product reach and profit revenues by identifying new market opportunities, customers, and business within target industry sector. To be considered for the role, candidates will have either an Engineering Apprenticeship or HNC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering as a minimum, and ability to demonstrate success in an external sales role ideally Food & Packaging related and have good technical knowledge enabling conversations on product, applications and business. This is a great opportunity for a motivated person who has a drive to earn Essential skills, competencies, and experienceConsultative / solution selling experience within a Business Development rolesExperience of building and closing sales pipelinesProven ability to identify and translate complex customer aspirations into realised outcomesGood written communication skills e.g., concise proposal writingExperience of working with and updating Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systemsAdept at managing customers' expectations in line with agreed project deliverablesAn agile mind with a passion for transformation Financially literate and numerateAbility to engage with internal stakeholders, particularly sales engineers, to gain and credibly communicate an understanding of technology and engineering opportunitiesDriving licence

Desirable skills, competencies, and experience:Established network of clients and contacts Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing techniques and change management challengesA degree in Business or EngineeringAbility to innovatively identify and resolve issues using a strongly analytical approach Experience of working in an industrial/development environmentAbility to challenge the status quo with a requisite level of emotional intelligence gravitasExperience of working collaboratively across a large sales team or network.
