Job description - the role

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Analyst for a 3 months-possibility of extension contract based in External 3rd Party Locn (GBR).

Purpose of the Role:

The two analysts are required to develop a Tableau-based reporting tool to help monitor the range of Payments COE KPIs and associated performance. Key languages will be SAS EG and SQL, visualisation will be via Tableau, and a strong understanding of Hadoop / Teradata would be necessary. The programme will be run in an agile manner, so understanding of these practices would be beneficial.

As a Analyst you will be responsible for:

• Using an excel based dashboard currently that's been setup and the inputs are very manual. Taking data and plugging them into excel.
• We need to go to the source data and code up the metrics for Tableau to receive that but also build secondary view of that data.
• The tableau dashboard today will say what is the value of cash payments. We want to be able to filter this by geography, brand, etc to bring in more.
• Coding in SQL/ SAS.
• Visualisation side of it. Not that complex. But we need the people with tableau experience for this.
• Stakeholder management, discussing what other ways stakeholders want to see this data.
• The Analysts should have the capability to be able to ask about the more detailed requirements.
