If you have an analytical mindset, an aptitude for reading and interpreting policy, and an interest in the dynamic world of higher education (HE), this Planning Analyst opportunity at the University could be an ideal next step for you.

The role provides an interesting mix of data analysis and HE policy along with the chance to collaborate across different areas of our institution to help facilitate the University's planning process. It is a varied role in which you will find yourself responding to data requests, supporting the reporting function, interpreting policy, guiding users and writing reports.

The work would suit someone with existing data analytical skills who ideally has experience of putting these to use in a previous role, although we would also welcome your application if you are looking to build upon emerging skills in this area.

As Planning Analyst you can expect to get involved in:

analysing and interpreting sector information and institutional data and communicating market and performance trends to relevant stakeholders

developing and monitoring of metrics

providing management information and guidance to support the planning process

responding to data requests from across the University

What we are looking for in the right candidate:

experience in interpreting data and producing evidence-informed reports

good knowledge and understanding of higher education issues, policy and legislation

the ability to build effective partnerships with a range of colleagues

excellent oral and written communication skills

What we can offer you:

a friendly, open and collaborative working environment and support in your development and wellbeing, along with a range of great staff benefits including:

hybrid working options allowing a flexible blend of office and home working (to be agreed in line with business needs)

43 days' leave per year (personal leave, bank holidays and additional days allocated for the Christmas period, pro rata for part-time staff)

an excellent pension scheme with generous employer contributions

on-campus cinema/theatre, sports facilities, library, nursery and food outlets, set among green, open space overlooking the Cathedral

study while you work discounts, cycle to work scheme, local business discounts

This role is based at our Canterbury campus, however, hybrid working options are available, to be agreed between the successful candidate and the hiring manager.
